Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Sher LLC d/b/a Saveit (“Saveit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses,  retains, and protects personal data and personal information in connection with our websites, browser  extension, mobile applications, and related Services. This Policy addresses United States privacy laws. The  Services are intended for users in the United States. Saveit does not offer the Services to, and does not direct  them at, individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom.

Browser extension 

The Saveit browser extension helps you save products and track their prices while you browse. Here is what it does and does not do: 

• It activates on shopping and product pages so it can read the product you are viewing (its name, image, price,  and link) when you choose to save it. 

• It needs access to the pages you visit in order to recognize product pages and capture the items you save. It  reads only what is needed to save an item and track its price. 

• Saveit links your saved items and browsing activity only to your Saveit account, to power the wishlist and price tracking features you asked for. 

• Saveit does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising, and does not link your browsing to outside  advertiser or tracking networks. 

• Saveit does not currently use affiliate tracking links. If affiliate links are added later, they will activate only when you deliberately choose to open a Saveit link, and the extension will never silently apply affiliate links or  overwrite another publisher’s tracking (see Section 7).

2. Information we collect 

• Account and identifiers: name, email, username, account ID, IP address, device identifiers, authentication information, profile settings, and subscription status. 

• Shopping and user content: URLs, product titles, prices, merchant names, product images, notes, tags,  private lists, price-alert settings, product identifiers, and saved-item metadata. 

• Browser-extension and app browsing data: when you view a product page, the extension reads page  information such as the page URL and title, product name, product identifiers, price, availability, and  product images, together with basic technical information such as browser type, operating system, and  app/extension version. The extension does not read cart, checkout, or order-confirmation pages, and  Saveit does not use crash-reporting or diagnostic tools. 

• Product-click information: when you tap “View in store” on a saved item, Saveit records that click  internally so we can improve the Services. Saveit does not currently run affiliate tracking or receive  transaction or commission data from any affiliate network. 

• Approximate location inferred from IP address; precise location only if you expressly permit it. • Communications, feedback, and information you voluntarily provide. 

• Push-notification information as described below.

• Inferences, including product interests, preferences, and likely relevance of products or alerts derived  from use of the Services. 

The Services are not intended to collect passwords, full payment-card numbers, bank credentials,  authentication tokens, private messages, government identifiers, health information, biometric identifiers, or other sensitive information. Because the extension processes webpages in the background, information  displayed on a page may incidentally be processed. Saveit is designed to minimize processing and retention  of sensitive information and restrict its use to the extent necessary for the described Services, security, and  legal compliance. 

3. Sources 

• You, when you create an account, save an item, configure an alert, contact us, or otherwise use the  Services. 

• Your browser, extension, mobile device, operating system, and network when the Services operate in the background or you interact with them. 

• Merchants, public webpages, and product-data sources in connection with product information, prices,  and availability. 

• Service providers supporting hosting, security, communications, analytics, and related operations, if and  when engaged. 

4. How we use information 

We use information to provide, authenticate, secure, operate, personalize, maintain, and improve the  Services; create accounts; save and synchronize items; identify products and prices; deliver price tracking and alerts; detect fraud and abuse; communicate with you; comply with law; enforce agreements; and create de identified or aggregated information. 

5. Analytics 

Our marketing website (joinsaveit.com) uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand general website traffic  and improve the site. The Saveit app and browser extension do not currently use Google Analytics or any  other third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or session-recording tools. We do not permit our website  analytics provider to use Saveit data for its own advertising, behavioral advertising, cross-service profiling, or  data enrichment. If Saveit adds analytics to the app or extension in the future, we will update this Policy and,  where required, provide notice and choices before doing so. 

6. How we disclose information 

• Service providers processing information for hosting, storage, authentication, security, communications,  analytics, and related operations. 

• Merchants and product-data sources in connection with product information, prices, and availability.  Saveit does not currently share information with affiliate networks; if that changes, we will update this  Policy first. 

• Government authorities, courts, regulators, law enforcement, and professional advisers where required  or reasonably necessary.

• Corporate transaction participants in connection with financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization,  bankruptcy, or asset sale. 

• Other parties with your consent or direction. 

Saveit does not currently use advertising pixels, advertising SDKs, cross-context behavioral advertising,  retargeting, payment processing, or third-party customer-support vendors. If Saveit adds any of these, a new  analytics provider or configuration, or a push-notification vendor, Saveit will complete privacy, security,  contractual, transfer, consent/opt-out, app-store/extension-store, and policy-change review before  deployment. 

7. Cookies, extension storage, and affiliate tracking 

We use cookies, local storage, extension storage, tokens, device identifiers, and similar technologies for  essential functions, account security, preferences, and product and price tracking. Saveit does not currently  use affiliate tracking links. If Saveit introduces affiliate links in the future, then only when you deliberately  choose to open a Saveit referral link would referral information be processed to determine whether Saveit  referred a transaction. Even then, Saveit is designed not to initiate affiliate tracking automatically or  overwrite a preexisting publisher attribution. 8. Push notifications 

If you elect to enable price-drop notifications, Saveit may process your device push token or application instance identifier, account identifier, device type and operating-system version, notification-permission  status, alert preferences, saved-item or price-alert identifiers, and delivery, opening, or interaction events if  enabled. We use this information to send, secure, measure, and improve requested price-drop alerts. You  may disable notifications in Saveit, where available, or through device settings. Saveit does not currently use  push notifications for advertising or direct marketing. If that changes, we will provide required notice and  consent/choice mechanisms before sending promotional notifications. 

9. Where we process your data 

Saveit is based in the United States, and we process and store personal data in the United States using service providers located in the United States. The Services are intended for users in the United States and are not  directed to individuals in the EEA or the United Kingdom. 10. Retention and security 

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, according to the following schedule:

Account information. Kept while your account is active. Deleted promptly when you request account deletion. Some associated data may persist in backups or storage for a limited period before it is removed.

Saved items. Kept until you delete them or delete your account.

Diagnostic and crash logs. Not collected. Saveit does not use crash-reporting or diagnostic tools.

Affiliate-attribution and transaction records. Not applicable. Saveit does not currently run affiliate tracking or receive transaction data.

Security logs. Retained in our cloud logging system in accordance with its configured retention settings.

Analytics data. Website analytics (GA4) only, retained according to our analytics settings. The Saveit app and extension use no analytics.

Push tokens and notification events. Removed when you log out or when the device token becomes invalid.

We may retain information longer where required for law, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, or enforcement. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

11. Your rights 

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a  portable copy of personal information; confirm processing; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or  certain profiling; withdraw consent; and appeal a rights-request decision. Submit a request at  hello@joinsaveit.com. We may verify identity and authorized-agent authority. To appeal, email  hello@joinsaveit.com with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line. We do not make decisions based  solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. 

12. California notice 

To the extent the CCPA applies, we may collect identifiers; customer records; commercial information;  internet/electronic network activity; approximate geolocation; visual/electronic information; and inferences.  We use and disclose these categories as described above. We do not currently sell or share personal  information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If any practice constitutes a sale or sharing under  applicable law, California residents may opt out by emailing hello@joinsaveit.com or through an applicable  opt-out preference signal. 

13. Children; changes; contact 

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information  from children under 13 without required parental consent. If you believe a child provided information to us,  contact hello@joinsaveit.com. We may update this Policy by posting a revised version and updating the Last  Updated date, with additional notice where legally required.
